Scratchy ("the App", "we", "our") is committed to protecting your privacy. This policy explains exactly what information the App handles and how.
Scratchy is free to play and supported by ads, with optional in-app purchases. We do not require an account and we do not collect personal information such as your name or email. Your gameplay data stays on your device. To show ads, our advertising partner (Google AdMob) processes limited technical data as described below. Because the App is designed to be appropriate for a young, general audience, ads are configured as non-personalized (child-directed) — they are not targeted using a profile of you.
The App stores the following on your device only, using Apple's UserDefaults framework. None of it is sent to us:
Scratchy displays advertisements through Google AdMob. To serve, cap, and measure these ads and to prevent fraud, Google may process limited technical data such as a device identifier, IP address, coarse location, and ad-interaction events. Because the App is treated as child-directed, AdMob is configured for non-personalized ads: Google does not use this data to build an advertising profile of the user or to show behaviorally targeted ads. We do not use Apple's App Tracking Transparency prompt because the App does not track users across apps or websites. See Google's Privacy Policy and how Google uses information from sites or apps that use its services. You can remove all ads by purchasing "Remove Ads" or the Premium upgrade.
Scratchy offers optional in-app purchases (for example, "Remove Ads", a Premium upgrade, and coin packs), processed by Apple. Payment and billing are handled entirely by Apple under its own privacy policy; we never receive your payment card or billing details. Purchases are protected behind a parental gate.
Scratchy is intended to be appropriate for a general audience, including children. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. Ads are configured as non-personalized (child-directed) and we do not build user profiles or use behavioral targeting. In-app purchases are protected behind a parental gate. If you believe a child has provided personal information, contact us and we will address it.
All App data can be deleted by either using the "Reset progress" button in the App's Settings, or by uninstalling Scratchy from your device. Because nothing is stored externally, uninstalling permanently removes all associated data.
We may update this policy from time to time. Material changes will be reflected by updating the "Last updated" date above. The current version is always available at this URL.
